Storage Instructions

All products from Apex Health Performance are manufactured using a lyophilization (freeze-drying) process. This method is designed to maintain product integrity and allows vials to remain stable during shipping for approximately 3–4 months.

Once a vial is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, it should be stored in the refrigerator to help maintain stability. Under these conditions, reconstituted material is generally considered stable for up to 30 days.

Lyophilization is a dehydration technique in which compounds are frozen and then exposed to low pressure. This causes the water in the vial to sublimate directly from solid to gas, leaving behind a stable, crystalline white structure. This powder can be kept at room temperature until reconstitution.

Upon receipt, products should be stored away from heat and light. For short-term use, refrigeration at approximately 4°C (39°F) is suitable. For long-term storage (several months to years), vials may be placed in a freezer at approximately -80°C (-112°F). Freezing is the preferred method for preserving product stability over extended periods.

Mitochondrial and lipid metabolism rewiring during HEV infection.

Cellular and molecular life sciences : CMLS 2026

In this study, we employ a systems biology framework to comprehensively map metabolic and bioenergetic alterations induced by HEV genotypes 1 and 3 in HepG2/C3a-MAVS-KD cells, a robust model of HEV infection, enabling reliable assessment of virus- and host-driven cellular changes. Our analyses reveal extensive remodelling of host metabolism, including reprogramming of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), fatty acid metabolism, and β-oxidation-pathways that collectively sustain the energetic and biosynthetic demands of viral infection.

The AMPK Pathway: Molecular Rejuvenation of Metabolism and Mitochondria.

Annual review of cell and developmental biology 2025

Cells must constantly adapt their metabolism to the availability of nutrients and signals from their environment. Under conditions of limited nutrients, cells need to reprogram their metabolism to rely on internal stores of glucose and lipid metabolites. From the emergence of eukaryotes to the mitochondria as the central source of ATP and other metabolites required for cellular homeostasis, survival, and proliferation, cells had to evolve sensors to detect even modest changes in mitochondrial fu

Molecular and cellular mechanisms of pentadecanoic acid.

World journal of biological chemistry 2025

Pentadecanoic acid (C15:0) is an odd-chain fatty acid, the β-oxidation of which yields propionyl-CoA that replenishes succinyl-CoA and tricarboxylic acid cycle flux; higher circulating levels are associated with reduced type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, and mortality. Summarize the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying these associations.

Glycolytic Dysfunction in Granulosa Cells and Its Contribution to Metabolic Dysfunction in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Drug design, development and therapy 2025

At the molecular level, dysregulated energy-sensing pathways, such as AMPK and mTOR, reduce glucose uptake, lower ATP generation, and enhance oxidative stress, fueling disease progression. This review synthesizes current evidence on glycolysis's critical role in PCOS pathophysiology, its influence on follicular energetics and oocyte quality, and highlights metabolic targets for future therapies, offering a foundation for novel mechanism-driven interventions in PCOS management.

The role of succinylation-mediated metabolic reprogramming in tumor progression.

Molecular biology reports 2025

Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of tumors, whereby cancer cells remodel their own metabolism to meet the biosynthetic, energetic, and signaling demands required for rapid proliferation and malignant transformation. Notably, succinylation is evolutionarily conserved across eukaryotes and prokaryotes and has a broad influence on central metabolic pathways, including the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, amino acid metabolism, and lipid homeostasis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Essential information about our research-grade peptides and quality standards.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, typically consisting of 2-50 amino acids. They serve as the building blocks of proteins and play crucial roles in biological processes.

Research peptides are synthesized versions of naturally occurring peptides, manufactured to precise specifications for use in scientific studies.

Key characteristics: High purity (≥98%), lyophilized form for stability, accompanied by Certificates of Analysis (COA), and manufactured under strict quality control protocols.

Peptide purity refers to the percentage of the target peptide present in a sample, measured via High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

Our Standard: All our research peptides maintain ≥98% purity, verified by third-party laboratory testing and documented in our Certificates of Analysis.

Higher purity is critical for research because impurities can interfere with experimental results and compromise the reproducibility of studies.

All products are supplied in lyophilized powder form within sterile, sealed vials. This format provides:

  • Maximum stability: Extended shelf life compared to liquid solutions
  • Precise measurement: Researchers can work with desired quantities
  • Contamination protection: Sealed vials prevent environmental exposure
  • Shipping durability: Powder form is more stable during transit

Lyophilized peptides:

  • Store at -4°F for long-term storage (up to 24 months)
  • Store at 36-46°F (refrigerated) for short-term storage (up to 3 months)
  • Keep away from light, moisture, and repeated temperature fluctuations

We supply research-grade peptides to:

  • Academic and university research laboratories
  • Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
  • Independent research institutions
